Shipping & returns


We ship on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. That means if you place an order on Sunday, it will ship on the following Wednesday.  We only ship to the continental United States.  All orders are shipped through the United States Postal Service (USPS) ground service. We are located in northern Kentucky.

We are not responsible for your order once it is handed to USPS – this includes lost, stolen or damaged packages once the order is delivered. We are not held responsible if your order experiences technical delays from when you submit it on our website to when we actually receive it.  

USPS Shipping - Delivery in 5-10 business days after processing your order. We will send you a confirmation email once your order has been shipped. At its discretion, USPS will attempt one to two deliveries.  If someone is not present to accept the package, USPS may decide not to leave it at the designated address and the package may be held for pick up at your local post office or returned to sender.  Please contact your local post office for details if your package is not left at the designated address.

Shipping Charges - Our shipping charges are in four categories:

Orders under $25.00-$8.95

Orders over $25 and to $50--15.95

Orders over $50 to $75 ship at --$21.95

Orders over $75 to $100 ship at ---$25.95

Orders over $100 ship free

These rates apply ONLY to the Contiguous 48 States.

EXCEPTION : Shipping of Saddles are a set fee of $75

                     Shipping of saddle pads are a set fee of $35

In Store Pickup-- We offer store pickup for your convenience. Please allow 3 hours for your order to be ready


Bluegrass Saddlery & Mercantile understands that getting the perfect fit on a bridle or blanket or western apparel is sometimes tricky! We have a very accommodating return policy to help with this.

All items returned or exchanged must be in NEW condition with the tags, original packaging and receipt. Any item returned within 7 days of purchase qualifies for a full refund in the original form of payment.  Items returned within 30 days of purchase qualify for store credit.  No returns are accepted after 30 days of purchase. 

All exchanges must be within 30 days of original purchase. We are not responsible if exact exchange is not possible due to lack of inventory.  In this event, store credit will be provided.

No returns or exchanges after 30 days.

All sales final on closeouts & consignments.

Refused/Undeliverable Shipments - If an order is refused or returned to us due to inaccurate or incorrect address information or because it was declined or undeliverable, Bluegrass Saddlery & Mercantile reserves the right to retain the original shipping/handling fee and to require additional payment for costs we incur related to the return of the undeliverable packages or merchandise to us before reshipping. 

Return Processing:

Merchandise may be returned in a new, unused condition within thirty days of purchase. 

If you did not pay full price on an item it is considered on sale or clearance and is non returnable. 

Before you return your item, you must have a RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER. Please email us at [email protected] with your full name, phone number and your order number (if available) and an explanation of why you need an exchange or refund and we will contact you within 72 hours with instructions on how to return your purchase and a Return Authorization Number.

Shipping charges are non-refundable. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping for returns & exchanges. However, if there was an error in the shipment Bluegrass Saddlery & Mercantile will cover the return shipping costs.
